Lewis Holman has been in the tax business since 1993.  He operated as a Sole Proprietor until 2024 when he merged with the established New York City firm of Braverman CPA PC.  He works with a broad range of clients and loves to demystify income taxes for anyone who's interested.  He is an Enrolled Agent, a designation conferred by the IRS after passing a rigorous exam that allows him to represent taxpayers before the IRS.  Many of his clients are self-employed and span the spectrum from artists to yoga instructors.  He also works with a wide range of professionals including doctors, attorneys and psychotherapists.  He lectures regularly on income taxes in universities and professional organizations and taught a course in business practices for artists at the School of Visual Arts for many years.  He is married to the artist Steve DeFrank and lives in the South Bronx.
